ATTENDANCE POLICY

This attendance policy has been created using the USFC handbook as a guide: All practices are mandatory. If a skater misses 3 or more, they may lose the privilege of performing in the final show and/or continue to practice. The coach will make this decision on what's best for the group.

An Excused absences: illness, injury, family emergency, or school conflicts communicated to the coaches in advance

An Unexcused absences: any absence without advance notice to the coaches.

If a skater is unable to skate due to injury, he or she is expected to attend practice so that he or she will be aware of any changes upon returning to the ice if possible. Skaters who have an illness are asked to NOT attend practice. Please let Chas or Amanda know as soon as possible, and no later than 30 min prior to their lesson. Observing a practice due to an injury is not considered an absence.

ETIQUETTE POLICY

We are a skating family. Bullying and berating your fellow skaters or other skating families will not be tolerated. All of our skaters work hard to get where they are and deserve only praise and well wishes. If these rules are broken, action will be taken to correct the issue. This is a no-tolerance policy that will be upheld.

Skaters are expected to give full attention to the coaches at all times and comply with all instructions. Any skater misbehaving, bullying or speaking down to another skater while on the ice or in the locker rooms may be dismissed from practice. This is at the discretion of the coaching staff or a Board Member. Coaches or a Board Member will notify parents when this occurs. Continued behavior problems will result in disciplinary action and will jeopardize the skater's status with the team. A skater could be asked to leave the club for the rest of the season and the Board observes the right to enforce this at any time. Please remember to BE KIND to all ALL THE TIME!
